Multi height build-up paving system
Able to support different heigh build-ups and slope correction

TerraSmart™ Rail is made up of super-strong, 100% recyclable aluminium joists, which overlap to create a lattice framework, offering the maximum possible level of support for the paving surface.

The system is fully non-combustible, achieving a Euroclass A1 fire rating.

  • Perfect for terraces, podiums, roof decks, inset balconies and other outdoor spaces
  • Allows many different paving layout formats including random length, mixed width, stack bond, stretcher bond, herringbone
  • Suitable for use in areas subjected to high foot traffic
  • Suitable for projects with maintenance access requirements such as piping or services
  • Allows rapid water drainage through paving

Complete range of stunning Ryno porcelain finishes available with various thicknesses of tile to account for increased foot traffic and loading. See

  • Quadro: classic contemporary porcelain paving tiles
  • Albero: woodgrain effect plank paving tiles
  • Sasso: natural stone effect paving tiles

Each is hard-wearing and ultra-durable, with excellent slip resistance.

Top rail

Aluminium top rails provide complete support for the paving. They can be cut and laid at any centre interval, to cater for varied paving course widths. Rails feature an integrated 2mm shock-absorbent gasket, a channel for the paving spacers to lock into, and side flanges for robust fixing into the primary rail.

Primary joist

Provides a totally stable platform for the top rail and binds the whole system together into a lattice format. Joist available in multiple depths to suit various height build-ups.

Adjustable pedestal

Our fully non-combustible steel joist pedestal enables an easy install. Suitable for large build up requirements, it is quickly and simply height adjustable up to 505mm.

Protected from corrosion with zinc-nickel electroplating.

Spacers

Paving spacers twist into top rail to ensure equal spacing of slabs.

TerraSmart® Rail (IGNO) Options

Vertical closure
Vertical closure

The vertical closure allows for the creation of steps and vertical edges of the paved area. Fixed into the top rail, the vertical closure can work in all directions.

Stop brackets
Stop brackets

Paving stops hold paving in place to ensure no movement can occur. Fixed into the top rail around the perimeter of the paving area.

Single rail
Single rail

Where very low build-up is required, top rail can be installed straight onto supports without a primary joist.

Low-height support cleat
Low-height support cleat

For use where very little height build-up is available. Joist cleats are height adjustable, catering for falls, or to meet door thresholds while contributing as little as 3mm build-up. Manufactured from high-quality aluminium, with a wide base for spreading weight evenly.

Paving spacers
Paving spacers

Cross-spacers, t-spacers, and straight-spacers available to achieve a wide range of paving formats and consistent spacing between slabs, with 2 or 4mm spacer thickness available as standard (other thicknesses available on longer leadtime).

Paveboard
Paveboard

When full support is required for the desired floor finish, PaveBoard™ is the answer. Incredibly rigid and resistant to the elements, PaveBoard™ can simply be cut to size and placed on the flanges of the top rail to fully support the paving. It can also be bonded with tile adhesive in the traditional way, meaning that tiles down to 10mm thick can be installed!

Shockpads
Shockpads

Base shock pads can be installed under pedestal/support base to enhance acoustic properties, or to provide additional protection to the membrane.
