Leading decking and paving support system specialists Ryno has introduced an innovative new joist to its family of products which is ideal for height restricted areas.
The company has launched a new 22mm high aluminium joist to its product range for use alongside Ryno’s aluminium substructure system, which also includes 38mm and 72mm high joist options.
The new product, which is the lowest available joist support option available in the UK, is fully compatible with existing Ryno products and meets industry standards for building regulations and product supply.
Where height restrictions are a challenge for decking boards, the new joist offers greater room for manoeuvre when it comes to areas such as roof terraces where height is dictated by door thresholds, or where a low level aluminium joist is the stronger alternative for overlaying paving on old patios.
Ryno provides intelligent decking and paving solutions to architects, developers, merchants and contractors throughout the UK and overseas.
The company’s RynoDeckSupport and RynoPaveSupport ranges feature pedestals, cradles and support systems ideal for use wherever decking and paving is required in a commercial or domestic setting.
The company’s product development team, which includes an experienced structural engineer, has spent several months refining and testing the new joist so that it is fit for purpose.
From the initial designs, a prototype aluminium joist was assessed by the team before the final product was fully tested to support all types of conventional decking and load settings. The aluminium is manufactured in the UK and is available in either a mill finish or black powder coated to RAL 9005.
Anton White, Ryno director, said:
“The challenges of height restrictions have been an issue for the industry for many years and we are delighted to bring our innovative 22mm aluminium joist to the market.
“We are the only company which offers a 22mm joist option in the UK, as part of our product portfolio, which puts us a step ahead of the competition. We believe it will open-up the possibility to cost effectively transform areas where height restrictions have previously meant it was almost impossible without compromising the integrity of the substructure.
“Our team is always on hand to provide support to architects during the design phase of a project to ensure our products are the perfect fit for their projects.
“The new joist has been in development for six months and we confidently predict that this new product will help us to reinforce our position as the country’s leading supplier of innovative decking and paving support products.
“For over quarter of a century we’ve been developing ground-breaking decking and paving support systems that are strong, durable and can make life easier. Our three broad characteristics of ‘Smart Strong Support’ run through our extensive product range which ensures our decking and paving solutions are the very best on the market.”
Quick to install and easy to adjust, the products have won praise for their versatility and have been designed to stand the test of time.
